The Choice to be Immortal or Mortal

There are multiple reasons why I would choose to be immortal, and reasons why i would not choose to be immortal. The reason why i would choose to be immortal is that obviously, i would live forever. You would look young forever, you would never grow old. Also you could do things that could potentially be life threatening and you wouldn't die. There would be no limit to your life, you could do whatever you wanted. You can have that feeling of having no worry about your life, everything would be practically perfect. The reasons why I would choose not to be immortal are the following. You wouldn't have the real experience of having a life. You would have the penalties that someone who is immortal wouldn't have. For example, doing tasks that could result in death. You would go through the stages of aging, and growing older, something that immortals wouldn't go through. As you can see, being immortal, you miss out on all of things that being mortal contains and vice versa. I'm not sure what my choice would be, there would be multiple things that I would miss about being mortal, but the chance to live forever is hard to pass up.
