Foreshadowing:" They walked along, two continents of experience and feeling, unable to communicate"

I believe that the quote " they walked along, two continents of experience and feeling, unable to communicate" represents foreshadowing. I think that later in the book Lord Of the Flies, they will have to split up, Jack and the hunter on one part of the island, and Ralph and the hut builders on the other side. Im guessing that they will separate because of a fight so they will not speak to each "...feeling unable to communicate." Also in the quote it says "they walked along, two continents[...]" which is the part where is foreshadowing the separation and also maybe that they will fight each other.
